Allison Cara Tolman is an American actress from America. Her nominations for Emmys and Golden Globes for her performance as Molly Solverson on the FX the series, Fargo's initial season. Tolman was raised in the city of New York and has two older and one younger siblings. Family members moved out of England into Sugar Land in Texas, when she was an infant. The next five years in Oklahoma and West Texas, before moving to Sugar Land, Texas. When she was ten years old actress, she began acting in the Fort Bend Community Theatre. Clements High School was her high school, and she completed her studies in the year 2000. She graduated in 2000 from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in theatrical performance. In Dallas, after graduating from college, she became one of the founders of Second Thought Theatre. After moving to Chicago Illinois she started her studies in performance at The Second City Training Center in 2009. Tolman started her acting career in the year 2014. She appeared on FX Crime comedy Fargo's debut season. Fargo is a movie starring experienced actors Billy Bob Thornton Martin Freeman Bob Odenkirk. The movie was influenced by the Coen brothers' 1996 film with the exact same name. Tolman was recognized for her performance as Minnesota police officer Molly Solverson. Vanity Fair stated that Tolman "calmly took over" the show. Tolman was awarded the Critics' Choice Television Award as Best Supporting Actress for a movie/ministry, and was also nominated for Best Actress at both the Emmy Awards & Golden Globes for her performance. In the same time, in the same year it was announced Tolman was set to play a 2-episode guest role on The Mindy Project playing Abby Berman, a romance writer. In 2015, she starred as the role of a support in Michael Dougherty's comedy horror film Krampus.
